Salalah is the primary city located in the state of Dhofar. It is one of the states in Oman overlooking the Arabian Sea and considered to be the second largest country in the Arabian Gulf countries. The state of Dhofar's population is 222,771, divided between (69.9%) Omanies, and (30.1%) non-locals, of which 73% of them live in urban locations, and 26.5% live in villages. Salalah's population is 166, 494, which is 72.5% of Dhofar's population.
